(How Novel’s Book Club) October 15th we’ll be discussing Jenny Colgan’s “The Bookshop on the Corner.” This is the book that planted the seed in my heart to open my own book store, so it obviously should be my first choice for How Novel’s first book club.
(Banned Book Club) October 27th we’ll discuss Alan Gratz’ “Ban This Book.” This was written for younger readers, but as C.S. Lewis says, “A children’s story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children’s story in the slightest.” It seemed like an appropriate story with which to begin a Banned Book Club.
